Isn’t this quilter extra clever?  Broken Dishes is the name of this quilt block design.  This is reinforced in the foreground with her pictorial of a broken dish moment.  And, with color variation there is a dish or dinner plate in the background.  Ooooh, layers and subtlety.  Another quilt that makes you look…twice!

So, this artist can piece, applique, and do pictorial work too…ALL in one quilt.  It’s not overdone.  Her use of color and play on words, pattern and design is really quite clever.  Don’t ‘cha think?!
