A bit of

color…?!  I am just about ready to work on the bird in the lower right of my ‘squirrel’ panel.  : )  I am pleased with the introduction of more color!!!

One thing I have discovered so/sew far?  When working with solid colored fabrics there is NO place to hide ugly stitches.  A patterned fabric can ‘hide’ a not great stitch or a little point instead of a smooth edge.  Not so with solids.  Hmmm.  Learning curves!?

Piecefully, Pam

  1. I can’t wait to see this magnificent bird on the branch. Do you find that your fabric choices sometimes have to be changed with the freezer paper on top because you can’t see it all until it comes off?

Good question, Janet! I actually use the freezer paper template to help me with ‘fussy cut’ placement. Holding the template to different areas of the fabric helps me decide which part of the fabric I’d like to use.
