Fan folding

freezer paper templates.  Do you do this too?  When I need multiples of a symmetrical applique shape, I draw it once, fan fold my freezer paper, staple to secure, and cut, once.  The yield?  Multiple shapes cut at the same time, which SAVES time!!!  I love that!  ; )

I have my templates drawn and my freezer paper fan folded.

Fan fold the freezer paper, and staple.

Cut out the freezer paper templates

Remove the staple, and ta-dah!!!

Piecefully, Pam

Very cool idea Pam. I’ll have to remember that on my next applique project!!

    Pam,
That is such a great idea and terrific time saver! I’ve been doing this for a long time and I have one little hint to add: Only staple OUTSIDE of your template lines. You can use lots of staples and staple fairly close to your template lines but once you cut it out, you don’t have any staples to remove and your freezer paper is like new! Some might prefer a staple inside the template, it’s ok, just personal preference.
Thanks so much for your blog! Love it!
